Dean Finley, Founder and Managing Director

RHI founder and Managing Director Dean Finley started as an apprentice with Birmingham City Council in plumbing and heating when he was only 16.  He worked at surveying, tendering and estimating, electrical team management and has been a gas team manager.

Exceptionally well-qualified   

Dean certainly didn’t stop with the City and Guilds and Natural Gas qualification he gained as an apprentice. HNC Building and Surveying, LPG Gas Qualifications, Solar Thermal, Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps, F Gas (air conditioning) Mechanical Heat Recovery Systems, Unvented Hot Water and Underfloor Heating – Dean’s mastered them all.

Dean – the man who thinks outside the box

Obviously passionate to learn new technologies, he loves a challenge and delights in thinking outside of the box. We get a lot of work because of this – people and contractors know that if they have an unsolvable problem  - Dean’ll fix it (or knows someone who can). He also works closely with quality manufacturers, supports Worcester Bosch at the NEC at design shows, attends product specific training courses – he’s about the most renewables-friendly person you’ll meet.

Practicing what he preaches

As well as lots of experience in renewables, Dean has solar thermal, air source heat pump and underfloor heating installed at home. This gives customers a real-life view of what living with renewable energy solutions is like and how they perform.
